Dramatic Parent Day Presentation

Foundation Public School’s – 3 campuses, with total 119 students and Head Start Schooling System’s –2 campuses, with total 22 students had signed up for twenty Helen O’Grady Academy sessions of different levels according to their grades: Lower primary, Upper primary and Youth programme.
They had requested for a grand presentation at the end; hence, we did a Parent Day in a mini-production Helen O’Grady style, which resulted in a win-win situation for all.

The students enjoyed dressing up in their respective characters and put up and amazing performance displaying the skills learnt and showing off all the hard work put in by their teachers.
Students Presented IMPROVISATIONS:
-Ant and the Chocolate Cake
-Big box of Bears
– Space Adventure
where they dressed up like ants, cute teddy bears, aliens and astronauts, and showcased their ability to work as a whole group, and present their speech and expression skills, as well as movement skills.

Bedlam Bedtime, dresses in their PJs for a pillow fight, and showcased the importance of body language and non-verbal communication skills.

The highlight of the show was when the teachers requested the parents to join in and participate in the segments. The response was overwhelming. The parents enjoyed the intro and warm up activities along with adlib, creating their own thought process, experienced for themselves first-hand the skills learnt by their children. Some of the parents were shy parents to join in,but with the magic of HOGA and peer parent support even the shy and apprehensive parents joined in had fun.

The school heads were very happy with the response of the parents as they saw the confidence boost and speech enhancement through adlib and positive nurturing every child had got from their teachers.
